Analysis of Mercury (Hg) Heavy Metal Content in Rice Snail (Pila ampullacea) Derived from Rawa Taliwang Lake, West Sumbawa Regency

Danu Rawa Taliwang is a large body of water that receives sources heavy metal pollution from human activities such as agriculture and mining. By using bioindicators fish, metals have been detected in the waters. The aim study was to determine content mercury (Hg) Rice Field Snail (Pila ampullacea) originating Lake enrich Ecotoxicology course material. special benefit protect consumers who consume fish contaminants. Sample put into plastic bag then stored sample box. research analyzed at Environmental Laboratory Center for West Nusa Tenggara Environment Forestry Office. method data analysis carried out by taking muscle tissue snails analyzing form Hg an Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer. Heavy snail were measured after adding concentrated HNO3 HClO4, which heated 60-70ºC 2-3 hours until solution clear. Ready samples AAS air-acetylene flame. conclusion this rice field material ranges 0.96 ppm 1.91 ppm.
